Stage 1 Drought Declared, Asking for 20% Water Savings

February 11, 2014

A Stage One Drought Condition was declared by the Santa Barbara City Council on February 11th. The City is asking residents and businesses to reduce water use by 20%. Water customers currently watering their landscape are encouraged to reduce more than 20%.

The best way to reduce water usage is to evaluate landscape watering and check for leaks inside and out. The City can help with a free water checkup for homes or businesses.
