Waterfront Parking Permit
Annual Parking Permit Eligibility and Restrictions
Size Restrictions: Vehicles must not exceed 22’ in length, 90” in height, 82” width.
Ineligible Vehicles: Annual parking permits will not be issued to buses, vehicles not licensed for travel on public highways, recreational vehicles, house cars, motorhomes or campers. Annual parking permits will not be issued to vehicles used for commercial purposes unrelated to maritime or ocean activities.
There are two ways to purchase a General Parking Permit:
1) Online: Completing the parking permit form (available on December 1, 2024) through this website is the most convenient and efficient way to purchase a General Parking Permit. Permits sold online include two delivery options: In person pick up at the Parking Office (will call), or US Mail. After the online purchase, within minutes customers will receive a temporary parking permit via email to print or display on their smartphone. A printed temporary permit on the vehicle’s dashboard is required in all Self-Pay Lots.
2) In Person: If you are not able to purchase a parking permit online, you may purchase a permit in person at the Harbormaster's Office located at 132 Harbor Way, Suite A (second floor). If you have any questions please call the Parking Office at (805) 564-5523.
General Parking Permits: $145 Starting December 1, 2024 (Valid from day of purchase through 12/31/2025)
Slip Permittee Parking Permits: $145 (Valid from day of purchase through 12/31/2025)
Slip Permittee Parking Permits are available at the Harbormaster's Office during business hours. Monday-Sunday 8:30am-5pm. Please call (805) 564-5530 for questions or request additional information.

Replacement Parking Permits
When a vehicle is sold, traded, or damaged, the customer may purchase a replacement permit for $5.00. Customer needs to return the original parking permit to the Waterfront Parking Office at the time of replacement. The City of Santa Barbara is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced permits after purchase. Replacement parking permits are only available for purchase by appointment.
