Road Repair Projects on Gibraltar Road and Mountain Drive

The City of Santa Barbara Public Works Department will be repairing three sections of failed roadway on Gibraltar Road between El Cielito Road and the City limits that were damaged during the January 2023 storm season. The Project scope includes slope stabilization and roadside drainage improvements. Construction is anticipated to begin Monday, May 20, 2024, with an estimated completion date of mid-July.

A section of West Mountain Drive between El Cielito Road and Coyote Road has been closed since February 2024. Repairs are expected to begin June 2024 and West Mountain Drive is anticipated to reopen Fall 2024.
