Meeting Cancellation for April 8

Authored on

The City Council and Ordinance Committee will be rescheduled.

The City Council and Ordinance Committee are cancelled and will be rescheduled. Rescheduled dates for the various April 8 agenda items will be determined in the near term and noticed once confirmed.

On Saturday, April 5, Mayor Pro Tem Eric Friedman (District 5) suffered a heart attack. He is currently recovering and receiving medical care. We extend our sincere gratitude to the medical responders and healthcare professionals attending to Mayor Pro Tem Friedman.

“Out of respect for Eric and his family, and due to the significance of the scheduled agenda items, we have decided to cancel the April 8 meeting and return with the agenda at a future meeting,” said Mayor Randy Rowse. “On behalf of my Council colleagues, our thoughts and best wishes are with the Friedman family for a speedy recovery.”

We appreciate the community’s understanding and support for his mother, Celeste; his wife, Julie; and his sons during this time.

Inquiries regarding Mayor Pro Tem Friedman and his family may be directed to Ben Romo at ben@romoandassociates.com.
