Lot Operator Ambassador Crossing Guard

Lot Operator: The Lot Operator position offers an entry-level opportunity for service-minded individuals to experience working in local government. As a Lot Operator, you will continue the Downtown Parking tradition of providing excellent customer service to those visiting the public parking lots. Although experience in customer service is a plus, those who enjoy engaging the public in a friendly, respectful, and personable way are a great fit for this position. Your typical day as a Lot Operator will include assisting customers with fee payments, providing directions, answering basic questions about Santa Barbara, and maintaining a balanced register.

Ambassador: Be involved in making a difference! As a Downtown Ambassador, your effort and passion will make a difference with those you interact with every day. Take pride in connecting unsheltered members of our local community with programs offered by different social service organizations. In this role, you will create a positive presence within the State Street corridor, while representing the City as the first initial contact. You will also develop relationships with tourists, locals, and the business community. During your shift, you will work independently and in tandem with another Ambassador, providing exceptional customer service in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.

Crossing Guard: CALLING ALL CROSSWALK HEROES!! The City is looking for qualified, responsible, and caring people who can help keep our kids safe on their way to and from school. The hours are generally from 7:30am to 9am in the morning and 2pm to 3:30pm in the afternoon. Must be available for a split shift Monday through Friday. We look forward to hearing from you.
