Brandon Beaudette was appointed as Library Director in September 2025, bringing over 25 years of public service experience and a deep commitment to community engagement. A proud UC Santa Barbara graduate, Brandon has held leadership roles across several City departments, including Public Works, Finance, and the City Administrator’s Office.

Since stepping into the role of Acting Library Director in 2024, Brandon has led the Santa Barbara Public Library system through a period of revitalization—overseeing major facility improvements, expanding access to services, and supporting a return to vibrant community use across all three branches. He is passionate about ensuring the Library remains a welcoming, inclusive space for learning, creativity, and connection.

As Library Director, Brandon oversees strategic planning, operations, and partnerships that support equitable access to information, education, and cultural resources for all Santa Barbara residents.
