The National Weather Service has issued Heat Advisories, Extreme Heat Warnings, and a Red Flag Warning for parts of Santa Barbara County beginning Thursday, August 21 and through the weekend.  Detailed weather forecasts are available at https://www.weather.gov/lox/. 

  • Sundowner winds, low humidity and high temperatures are expected.
  • Avoid hazardous activities that may cause sparks or start a wildfire.
  • Drink water and keep your family (including your pets!) cool and hydrated.   
  • Check on elderly neighbors and others that may be sensitive to hot conditions.
