County of Santa Barbara Shares Updates on Virtual El Niño Community Meeting

Shared on behalf of the County of Santa Barbara: The County of Santa Barbara is sharing updated details for its Virtual El Niño Community Meeting, taking place on Thursday, October 1 from 5:30-7 p.m. The meeting will provide important information on this year’s weather outlook, storm-season preparations, and emergency readiness.

This meeting was previously advertised, and the County is providing updated details regarding access and participation.  Due to significant public interest, the presentation will be livestreamed on YouTube in both English and Spanish. A recording will be available immediately following the livestream through the same links.

If you have questions or comments, please submit them by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Comments and questions will be shared with panelists, and panelists will do their best to answer as many questions as possible during the community meeting.
