We are bracing for a MAJOR OCEAN SWELL EVENT from December 28-31, coinciding with high tides between 7am-11am each day. Expect dangerous surf with 10ft - 20ft waves, life-threatening rip currents, and coastal flooding.
🚧IMPACTS:
- Anticipate full or partial closures: Harbor West Parking Lot, Leadbetter Parking Lot, Stearns Wharf, and the Breakwater.
- Main impacts between 7am-11am, confined to coastal areas.
- Increased beach erosion and potential significant seawater flooding around high tide.
🛑RECOMMENDED ACTIONS:
- Stay OUT of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
- Avoid beach and harbor areas, especially during high tide.
- Follow all posted signs and instructions from local authorities.
