Title

Historic Resources Inventory

Body

The City of Santa Barbara continually updates our Historic Resources Inventory, which is a list consisting of those structures, sites, or features identified by the Historic Landmarks Commission or City’s Architectural Historian as historically significant and eligible for formal designation as a Landmark, Structure of Merit, Historic District, or contributing historic resource to a Historic District. Not all properties in the city have been surveyed to verify if they are historic. Prior to any addition, alteration, or demolition, any structure that is 50 years or older (not already designated) must be evaluated in order to identify if it is a potential historic resource.
