Independent Redistricting Commission Final Community Hearing

The City of Santa Barbara is encouraging public participation at the final community hearing of the Independent Redistricting Commission as it selects voting district boundaries. The maps being considered and their demographic data can be found on the City’s website.

DEC Plan EU

DEC Plan EUB

The District Elections Committee, a community organization, has submitted and supported a new map, DEC COI Plan, for the Independent Redistricting Commission to take under consideration. The map anddemographic data can be found on the City’s website.

Redistricting ensures every person has equal representation by drawing districts with approximately equal numbers of people. Your input is important in this process.
