Community Development Block Grant Application Workshop And Proposal Request

Beginning Thursday, November 2, the City of Santa Barbara will be soliciting proposals from eligible applicants for its fiscal year 2024-2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs. 

Approximately $600 thousand is available in CDBG grants to support local non-profit organizations that provide community-development activities such as rehabilitation, infrastructure improvements or economic development, all benefitting low and moderate-income City residents.

A mandatory Application Workshop for CDBG Capital applicants will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the David Gebhard meeting room at 630 Garden Street. In order to submit an application, a representative of each potential applicant organization is required to attend this workshop in its entirety. Attendees of this workshop must be staff that are directly involved in preparing grant submissions.

Application documents, as well as the online application will be available on November 2 at https://santabarbaraca.gov/services/housing-human-services/cdbg-human-servicesApplications are due by no later than 4:30 p.m. on December 9, 2023, no exceptions.
