Announcing a New Video Series – “Upfront with SBPD”

The Santa Barbara Police Department is excited to announce a series of videos showing our community members operational activities on several police related topics. The first episode centers around homelessness and how our department is responding to these sensitive issues.

These short videos will be posted on City webpages, YouTube, and social media platforms, as well as being played on the City TV Channel (Cox Cable Channel 18).

Future topics include officer’s response to opiate overdoses, Community Liaison Officers, recruitment and retention, as well as an episode that focuses on our patrol officers working the “graveyard” shift.

We encourage community members to reach out to the Police Department with ideas they would like to see covered in future episodes. Please contact Sgt. Ethan Ragsdale with ideas. (eragsdale@sbpd.com)
