SB Clean Energy Expands Residential EV Program

Authored on
Body

Santa Barbara Clean Energy (SBCE) expanded its Residential Electric Vehicle (EV) Program on Thursday, September 5. The program will continue to offer rebates for residential SBCE customers (which includes most City of Santa Barbara residents) who purchase or lease new or pre-owned EVs. It will now also offer rebates for installing at-home EV chargers and electrical "make-ready" work.

Make-ready work includes any electrical work that occurs in preparation for (pre-wiring) or during installation of a Level 2 charger, such as an electrical panel upgrade. Qualifying EV chargers can be permanent (installed on the wall) or plug-in. They must be Level-2 chargers and network-capable. All rebates are significantly enhanced for income-qualified SBCE customers.

To confirm your eligibility and to apply for one or more of these rebates, visit SBCleanEnergy.com.
