Public Works Meet and Greet!

You're Invited to Attend the Santa Barbara Public Works Meet and Greet on May 8, 2025!

Celebrate National Public Works week on Thursday, May 8th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Santa Barbara City College Great Meadow Lawn  (map) with Public Works! Meet the Public Works staff and the equipment behind the department, including Streets and Water Resources vehicles, games, demonstrations, job opportunities, and more! This event is perfect for young children to enjoy “Touch a Truck,” and high school and college students to learn more about launching a “Career without debt!” This year’s theme is “People, Purpose, Presence,” highlighting the three cornerstone ideals that motivate public works professionals to serve in their communities every day. Attendee Parking at SBCC: Please go to the West Campus kiosk to pick up a parking pass from SBCC staff if attending before noon. From noon on, please go to the East Campus kiosk to pick up a parking pass.
