35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The City of Santa Barbara is proud to support and acknowledge the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). On July 26th, the City celebrates this important civil rights law that works to ensure all people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.
The City is dedicated to inclusive practices for all, including those with disabilities. The City’s online Accessibility Resources page details accessible features of the City website and provides resources for important access related items around the City, such as accessible parking and pedestrian signals, and ways to report accessibility concerns.
The parking resources section includes information about accessible on-street parking, including Downtown and residential areas. The Accessible Parking Map: On-Street and City Parking Lots indicates spaces marked for accessible parking within the City. Included in this online tool are three accessible parking stalls at City Hall recently made available for public use during business hours.
