Library Exhibit Showcases Latin American Immigrant Experience

During Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month and with support from a Cal Humanities Grant, the Library hosted a Latin American Immigrant Art Show, “The Things We Don’t Say,” in the Faulkner West Gallery. Artwork submitted focused on taboo themes that sought to provoke an open conversation about issues that are not easily addressed within Latino immigrant families. In this video, the Library interviewed some of the artists, who openly share their personal stories and the background and inspiration behind their work.
