Water Main Replacement on Cliff Drive & Surrounding Streets
The City is replacing aging water main infrastructure on Cliff Drive and surrounding streets starting in early October.
PROJECT BENEFITS: The City is replacing aging water main infrastructure, including piping, valves, and hydrants, in order to maintain the quality and reliability of water service in advance of upcoming street improvements.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Construction will start early October 2025 at the Las Positas Road/Cliff Drive Roundabout and will continue east along Cliff Drive. Construction will occur Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the following streets:
• Cliff Drive near the Roundabout to La Marina
• Red Rose from Meigs Road to Camino Calma
• Red Rose Lane
• Meigs Road from Ricardo Avenue to Salida Drive
• La Marina
Construction on the following streets will occur overnight Monday through Thursday from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.:
• Las Positas Road/ Cliff Drive Roundabout
• Intersection of Cliff Drive and Meigs Road
Construction is anticipated to be completed in summer 2026.
Impacted streets will be open to traffic and driveways will be accessible, but there may be temporary delays and parking restrictions. Your water service may be interrupted while you are being connected to the water main. You will receive a detailed notice at your residence one day in advance of a proposed service interruption. As a result of the ongoing supply chain delays, work in your area may be subject to start/stop delay due to inconsistent shipping times on various materials. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this Project.
