Two Classes Graduate Community Emergency Response Team Training This Year

The City finalized the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training this month with Santa Barbara City College, graduating ten staff members and students in disaster response. Santa Barbara Fire Department OES delivers this class yearly in partnership with the college.

This is the second CERT Training that the Fire Department has delivered this year. The first in-person training was held in the summer in partnership with Immigrant Hope Community Center and graduated 20 Spanish-speaking community members.
