
Self-Serve Sandbag Stations and Emergency Parking Program
With the upcoming storm, the City of Santa Barbara is taking proactive measures to ensure public safety and minimize potential impacts, including activating Self-Serve Sandbag Stations and Free Emergency Storm Parking.
Self-Serve Sandbag Stations are OPEN Tuesday, February 11, and Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The City has doubled the number of available sandbag stations from two to four to better serve the community during severe storm events.

- City Fire Station 7- 2411 Stanwood Drive
- Santa Barbara City College Lot 3- 801 Shoreline Drive
- The Armory- 700 E. Canon Perdido Street

Free Emergency Storm Parking Activated
The City has activated free Emergency Storm Parking for residents who live in flood-prone areas. This parking will be available on the rooftop of City Lot 2 (914 Chapala Street) beginning at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 11, and remaining available until Saturday, February 15 at 5:00 pm.
Residents must register for storm parking. Unregistered vehicles will be charged at the standard hourly parking rate. To register online, visit SantaBarbaraCA.gov/StormParking

The City encourages residents to stay informed, take necessary precautions, and report any concerns. Stay away from rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations and stay off the roads during peak rain times.
