Nighttime Water Main Flushing Work

The Water Resources Department’s Water Distribution Division will flush approximately 2,200 fire hydrants throughout the city from February 23 through April 3. Work will occur at night Monday through Friday, between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

If flushing is taking place near your property, some water may be in the street from the flushing operations. Work at each hydrant should take no longer than 20 minutes. Signs will be placed in the neighborhood where flushing will take place that night.

This state-required maintenance helps maintain water quality. We appreciate the community's patience as this work is being conducted.
