The Library’s Book to Action Event Series Explores Unique Ecology of Channel Islands

The Library received a grant from the California State Library to distribute 100 copies of Island Visions, with the hopes of inspiring environmental action and conservation. Book to Action kicks off with a Library on the Go van event on April 2 at Shoreline Park, with a poetry workshop led by Santa Barbara Poet Laureate Emma Trelles. Learn about writing an acrostic poem inspired by the beauty and wonder of the Santa Barbara Channel Islands. The Library will also host an in-person author discussion with editor and illustrators Jacob Seigel Brielle and Isaac Seigel-Boettner, who will share their inspiration and how Island Visions became a book on Sunday, April 10 at in the Faulkner Gallery.
