We Want Your Feedback: Help Improve Santa Barbara’s Development Permit Process

Authored on

Your Feedback Matters

The City of Santa Barbara is seeking your feedback on our land development permit process, and we invite you to participate in a brief survey. The land development process includes feasibility analysis (pre-applications and initial discussions with staff), entitlements to meet local regulations (completeness review, environmental review, design review, and land use approvals), and construction (Building and Public Works Permits, and associated inspections).

Your input will help us better understand your experience navigating the process—from initial inquiries to project completion. We are working to make the process clearer, more predictable, and more helpful for everyone, and your feedback is essential in guiding those improvements.

Whether your experience was recent or in the past, positive or challenging, we want to hear from you. Your responses will help us identify what’s working well and where we can do better.

Please take five minutes to complete the survey at the link below:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/C65BXQ8

We appreciate your time and willingness to share your perspective. Your feedback will directly inform our efforts to improve the development experience in the City of Santa Barbara. Responses by May 8, 2026, would be greatly appreciated.
