Body

On Tuesday, September 12th, the Cliff Drive Vision Zero Project goes before City Council for authorization of the design contract. The Project will add a new three-mile separated path for all ages and abilities on Cliff Drive from Arroyo Burro County Park to Castillo Street, and pedestrian safety enhancements at intersections throughout the Cliff Drive corridor. The Project’s design and construction is primarily funded through the California Active Transportation Program.

If City Council authorizes the design contract, the Project’s design and environmental review will commence in 2023, with construction anticipated to begin in 2027. City staff plans to hold additional public meetings to share Project updates in 2023 and 2024, and will post details on the Project webpage at SantaBarbaraCA.gov/CliffDrive
