Accessory Dwelling Unit Ordinance Amendments

Body

In 2022, the state passed legislation to make Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) easier to build. The new state laws, effective January 1, 2023, increase maximum building height and make a few technical changes. In response, the City is proposing amendments to the ADU Ordinances to comply with state law, clean-up a few items, and make amendments to local standards to further facilitate ADUs.
