The Overall Permitting tab displays information for all permits processed by Building & Safety, ranging from commercial projects to residential projects. Here, you can view the total demand for Building & Safety’s services (number of applications received) and division output (number of permits issued). This tab shows applications, issued permits, and processing times for these projects.
In 2024, the division received 2,583 standard permit applications and issued 2,196 standard permits, a 7% increase in permit requests from the previous year. The dashboard’s pie chart shows information for the most recent 90-day period to track recent trends.
The residential tab offers more detailed information on building permits related to residential projects. This tab shows applications, issued permits, and processing times for these projects.
The commercial tab offers more detailed information on building permits related to commercial projects. This tab shows applications, issued permits, and processing times for these projects.
The ADU/JADU chart focuses on the City’s accessory dwelling unit program, highlighting applications received and review cycle.
The inspections chart focuses on the average number of inspections conducted per year.
The data provided here is frequently updated and the dashboard is designed to refresh daily unless where otherwise noted. The dashboard represents the most accurate information reasonably available. However, it should not be used for formal reporting purposes as it is subject to change due to ongoing City efforts to perform data quality control. Formal reports typically undergo additional review prior to publication and may therefore differ from this information snapshot.
