By joining one of our City Advisory Groups, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our community. Currently, we have 66 vacancies across our City Advisory Groups, and we're eager to fill them with passionate individuals who care about Santa Barbara's future as much as we do. Application Deadline is Friday, October 6, 2023 at 5 p.m.

The City Council will conduct interviews of applicants for the recruitment on:

• Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 4 p.m. (estimated time)
• Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 4 p.m. (estimated time)
• Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 6 p.m. (estimated time).

Applicants can choose which interview date to attend, but all applicants must attend an interview in order to be eligible for appointment. City staff will contact applicants for scheduling.

Santa Barbara Youth Council (SBYC) applicants are also required to attend an additional interview conducted by the current SBYC. SBYC interviews will be Monday, September 25 and Monday, October 2, 2023 at 5:15 p.m. (estimated time).

The City Council will make appointments to the City Advisory Groups on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
