Halloween Adopt-a-Block Decoration Program
The City of Santa Barbara’s Downtown Team is thrilled to announce the launch of its spooktacular new community initiative, the Halloween Adopt-a-Block Program!
The Adopt-a-Block Program invites residents, businesses, and community groups to adopt a block of the State Street Promenade and decorate it with Halloween decorations. This program is an opportunity for everyone to come together and make our downtown a frightfully festive and fun place to be during the Halloween season.
We welcome all members of the community to participate in this program. It's a fantastic occasion for families, schools, local businesses, and community organizations to get involved and showcase their creativity.
Are you up for some friendly competition? Gather a group of ghouls to see who can design the most creative and spooktacular decorations. The community will vote for the most gloriously ghastly group, with the winners taking home some ghoulish goodies!
Dates and Guidelines: Detailed program guidelines and the Adopt-a-Block application can be found at www.SantaBarbaraCA.gov/HalloweenonState. The application period will be open from Monday, September 18 to Friday, October 6. Decorating will take place October 21 and 22.
Share Your Creations: Participants are encouraged to share photos of their decorated blocks on social media using the hashtag #StateStSpooktacular to spread the Halloween spirit even further.
