False Report of Active Shooter at Bishop Diego High School

On Wednesday, September 14, 2022 the Santa Barbara Police Department responded to a report of an active shooter at Bishop Diego High School.

The report was ultimately deemed to be FALSE. All STUDENTS and STAFF are ACCOUNTED for and SAFE. 

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol assisted SBPD. Officers, Deputies, and CHP searched the campus and found zero evidence of an incident. The false report is under investigation. More information will be made available.
