Rental Housing Survey

Each year, the City publishes a report on the rental housing market in the South Coast area of Santa Barbara County, from Goleta to Carpinteria. This year's report is based upon rental housing listings from the month of April found in the Santa Barbara Independent, Craigslist, and a weekly rental data service. The survey provides a sense of the local private rental housing market and tracks changes in the market over time. It also includes a calculation of affordability, median prices, and information used to calculate benefits under the City’s Tenant Displacement Assistance Ordinance (TDAO).
