Water Outlook Remains Good as Council Declares Stage Two Water Shortage Alert

City Council declared a Stage Two Water Shortage Alert Tuesday in response to statewide requirements for additional action during the statewide drought. This action results in common sense water use regulations to encourage water conservation. Due to the the efficient practices already adopted by residents and businesses in the City, and with our long-term investment in a diversified water supply, Santa Barbara’s water outlook is good, even if extremely dry conditions persist.
