On March 1st, the City started delivering surplus recycled water to the La Cumbre Mutual Water Company, reducing groundwater pumping in our shared groundwater basin. This partnership is a milestone in our efforts to build water reliability on the South Coast, limits treated wastewater released to the ocean, and maximizes the use of existing infrastructure.
