Every rose has it's thorn -- and they need a little TLC to ensure a fantastic spring bloom. The City is calling on all gardening enthusiasts for Rose Pruning Day, as the cherished tradition returns. The annual A. C. Postel Memorial Rose Garden pruning event will be held on Saturday, January 8. The iconic garden across from the Santa Barbara Mission contains over 1,500 rose bushes. Even if you're new to rose pruning, please drop by. Santa Barbara Rose Society volunteers and Parks Division staff will teach you everything you need to know!
