Sidewalk Brick Repairs on State and Carrillo Streets Starting Monday, March 3

The City is repairing uplifted and uneven brick sidewalk on the following blocks to keep sidewalks safe and well-maintained in the downtown business area:

•    400 – 1200 blocks of State Street (between Gutierrez and Victoria Streets) 
•    00 E. and W. blocks of Carrillo Street

On Monday, March 3rd, construction will start on the 400 and 500 blocks of State Street and will progress northbound. Work is anticipated to be completed on the 1200 block of State Street by mid-April, weather depending. Construction will occur on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Tuesday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Pedestrian access will remain open to businesses to the maximum extent feasible during construction. Sections of sidewalk areas will be temporarily restricted while work is being completed. Businesses will be notified at least 24 hours in advance when work is scheduled adjacent to their business.
