Santa Barbara Public Library Adds Library on the Go Pop-up Visits for January
Due to the increased community transmission of COVID-19, the Santa Barbara Public Library has introduced a modified service model for use of indoor Library facilities from Thursday, January 6 through January 31, 2022 that limits library visits to 30 minutes or less. To help supplement library services Santa Barbara Public library will offer expanded Library on the Go Pop-ups events to increase access to Library services and materials in outdoor spaces. Library staff ask that anyone over 2 years of age wear a face covering when using Library on the Go services.
The Expanded Library on the Go Pop-ups will provide community members with increased access to library services and materials by having regularly scheduled Library on the Go van stops throughout Santa Barbara. The public may get a new library, borrow books, use computers, Wi-Fi and printing, and ask staff questions. Some pop-ups will also have children’s hands-on STEAM learning activities or maker and preschool activity kits to take home, while supplies last.
