Upcoming Housing Element Adoption Hearing

On November 16, 2023, the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) informed the City that the 2023-2031 Adoption Draft Housing Element meets the statutory requirements of State Housing Element Law and the Planning Commission recommended adoption of the Housing Element to City Council with specific recommendations.

On December 12, 2023 the City Council will hold a hearing to consider a resolution adopting the 2023-2031 Housing Element with proposed revisions as an Amendment to the City’s General Plan. After adoption, the 2023-2031 Housing Element will be posted for a seven day public review period, followed by submittal to HCD for final certification.
