Title
ReSource Center Converting Food From Your Trash into Compost and Green Energy
Authored on
Body
Did you know that organic matter (foodscraps, wet paper, etc.) from the trash is converted into compost and green energy at the new ReSource Center? Organic material like food waste and wet paper is pulled out of the trash, mixed with a portion of our greenwaste, and processed in an anaerobic digestion facility. The ReSource Center will divert approximately 60% of our brown bin waste from the landfill, bringing our region’s landfill diversion rate above 85%.
