Olive Street Water Main Replacement

From March to August 2022, the Desal Link project will be progressing down Olive Street to install the new desalination pipeline, replace old water mains, and re-pave the street. We are taking advantage of the Desal Link contractor being on-site to replace the water main at the same time.

During water main replacement, properties will be connected to a temporary above-ground pipe that enables water use to continue during construction. Water will be shut off for 6 to 8 hours to connect to the temporary pipe, and another shut off will occur about two weeks later to connect to the new water main. You will receive a door hanger with details about water service disruptions prior to the water being shut off. During construction, please be mindful of equipment and temporary pipes in the street and parkway areas. Thank you for your patience during this important water resilience project.
