New Look Coming to Our Online Permit Portal!

On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, the City will be upgrading Accela Citizen Access (ACA), the online permit portal, to have a new user-friendly look and feel for our customers. The new permit portal will make it easier to submit a new building permit, public works permit, fire permit, special event permit, or planning application. It will also assist customers to view and manage existing applications. 

An exciting new feature is the “Application Decision Tool” that can help applicants determine if they qualify for any OnDemand building permit (e.g., reroofs, water heaters, etc.). After a trial period, we will continue to roll out additional permit and application types in the Application Decision Tool for other review processes and projects, such as building remodels, design review, sign permits, and others.

New ACA Permit Portal Link: A link to the new portal will made available via update to this bulletin when the site is live.

NOTE: ACA will be unavailable during the transition most of Tuesday, November 14, 2024, and estimate it will be available again at approximately 2:00 p.m.
