Cabrillo and Los Patos Roundabout Project: Next Construction Phase Begins July 25
The next phase of the Cabrillo Boulevard Roundabout Project will commence on Thursday, July 25, 2024. During this phase, traffic will shift back to Cabrillo Boulevard, and vehicles will navigate the new Roundabout in a temporary pattern. All entry points to the Roundabout will temporarily have stop signs in place.
Pedestrian traffic along the Cabrillo Beachway can either use Channel Drive through the permanent refuge island on Cabrillo Boulevard or will be directed towards the Andree Clark Bird Refuge parking lot to cross Los Patos Way for access to Cabrillo Boulevard / Hot Springs Road.
Cyclists can navigate through the Roundabout with road sharing signage, or riders may dismount and take the pedestrian routes. Signs and temporary pavement markings will be in place.
Drivers should expect some congestion during peak periods. Alternate routes are recommended.
We appreciate your continued patience during the construction. The anticipated completion date is early winter 2025.

Proyecto de rotonda de Cabrillo y Los Patos: La próxima fase de construcción comienza el 25 de julio
La siguiente fase del Proyecto de la Rotonda del Bulevar Cabrillo comenzará el jueves 25 de julio de 2024. Durante esta fase, el tráfico volverá al Bulevar Cabrillo y los vehículos circularán por la nueva Glorieta siguiendo un patrón temporal. En todos los puntos de entrada a la Glorieta se colocarán temporalmente señales de stop.
El tráfico peatonal a lo largo de Cabrillo Beachway puede utilizar Channel Drive a través de la isla de refugio permanente en el Bulevar Cabrillo, o se dirigirá hacia el aparcamiento del Refugio de Aves Andree Clark para cruzar Los Patos Way y acceder a el Bulevar Cabrillo / Hot Springs Road.
Los ciclistas pueden navegar a través de la rotonda con la señalización de compartir la carretera, o los ciclistas pueden desmontar y tomar las rutas peatonales. Se colocarán señales y marcas temporales en el pavimento.
Los conductores deben esperar cierta congestión durante las horas de mayor uso. Se recomiendan rutas alternativas.
