Brian D'Amour

Brian is a licensed Professional Engineer with nearly 25 years of municipal and consulting engineering experience. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Brian began working for the City of Santa Barbara in 2007 as a Project Engineer in the Public Works Department. Brian was selected for the City Engineer position in 2016.  Since that time, he has had stints as Acting Public Works Director (twice) and Interim Airport Director.  Prior to his time with the City of Santa Barbara, Brian served in various private and public sector roles working in New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire.

Brian lives in Santa Barbara with his wife, son, and daughter.  They enjoy being together outdoors doing such things as cycling around town or hiking up peaks in the high Sierra.
