Wendy Levy
Wendy Levy joined the City of Santa Barbara in December of 2018 and was appointed as the City’s first Human Resources Director in July 2020. As the Human Resources Director, Ms. Levy oversees programs and such as Talent Acquisition and retention, Compensation and Classification, Labor Relations, Benefits, Employee Relations, Training, Policy and the myriad of programs and processes that touch every employee during the employment lifecycle.
Ms. Levy is a seasoned Human Resources professional with over 25 years of public service, having worked for the City of Oxnard, other large organizations such as King and Pierce Counties in Washington state, and Eagle County in Colorado. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Regis College with bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Psychology and holds numerous accreditations in the fields of Human Resources and Project Management.
In her spare time, Ms. Levy is an Adjunct Faculty Member of Highline College, teaching on Human Resources topics, and is a certified Dance Coach.
