
City of Santa Barbara Accepting Proposals for Community Development Block Grant and Human Service Programs
Beginning November 4th, the City of Santa Barbara will be soliciting proposals from eligible applicants for its fiscal year 2026-2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs.
Approximately $555 thousand is available in CDBG grants to support local non-profit organizations that provide community-development activities such as rehabilitation, infrastructure improvements or economic development, all benefitting low and moderate-income City of Santa Barbara residents.
A mandatory Application Workshop for CDBG Economic Development and Capital applicants will be held November 13, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. In order to apply, a representative of each applicant is required to attend this workshop in its entirety. To register for the workshop, sign up here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. Attendees of this workshop must be staff that are directly involved in preparing grant submissions.
The City is utilizing an online application, and applicants may access it starting November 4, 2025 by visiting CDBG & Human Services. Applications are due by no later than 4:30 p.m. on December 11, 2025, no exceptions.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to see that the application is complete and submitted online on or before December 11, 2025 at 4:30PM. Incomplete applications will not be accepted, and acceptance of the application does not guarantee funding.
