What Are Preapproved ADU Plans?
Preapproved plans are ADU designs submitted by qualified professionals—such as architects, designers, and builders—and reviewed in advance by the City’s Planning and Building & Safety Divisions. These ready-to-use designs allow homeowners to skip parts of the traditional permitting process, accelerating review and lowering fees.
