2025 Swearing-In of City Council
On January 7, 2025, the first Council meeting of the year, City Councilmembers will be sworn in at 2:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. The ceremony will include the affirmation of allegiance by the Councilmembers-elect, and the presentation of certificates of election. Councilmembers will be seated, followed by an opportunity for public comment.

- Mayor Randy Rowse (Term: Jan 2022 – Dec 2026)
- Wendy Santamaria, District 1 (Newly elected, Term: Jan 2025 - Dec 2028)
- Mike Jordan, District 2 (Reelected, Term: Jan 2025 - Dec 2028)
- Oscar Gutierrez, District 3 (Reelected, Term: Jan 2025 - Dec 2028)
- Kristen Sneddon, District 4 (Term: Jan 2022 – Dec 2026)
- Eric Friedman, District 5 (Term: Jan 2022 – Dec 2026)
- Meagan Harmon, District 6 (Term: Jan 2022 – Dec 2026)
At this ceremony, we will recognize outgoing Councilmember Alejandra Gutierrez for her years of service to our city. Alejandra Gutierrez was elected by District 1 to the City Council in November 2019 for a five-year term. She was sworn in on January 7, 2020, and served as Mayor Pro Tempore in 2023.
We will also be extending a very warm welcome to incoming Councilmember-elect Wendy Santamaria from District 1. She joins the City Council alongside re-elected Councilmembers Mike Jordan and Oscar Gutierrez, already seated Councilmembers Eric Friedman and Meagan Harmon, and Mayor Randy Rowse. Once seated, Wendy Santamaria will serve a five-year term from January 2025 - December 2028.
Community members can participate in person, online, or by submitting written comments. All City Council meetings are broadcast in English and Spanish on City TV YouTube and Cox Cable Channel 18. Spanish translation and transcription are available on your smart device through the Wordly App; no download required! Simply click the link posted within the Council Meeting Agenda Packet or scan the QR code posted on the back of Council Chambers. Attendees are encouraged to bring headphones but the City Administrator's Office also has a few that can be checked out.

The Mayor & City Council represent the community, with each Councilmember serving a specific district within the City, while the Mayor represents the City as a whole. Regular City Council meetings are held on Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, located on the upper floor of City Hall. Occasionally, meeting dates and times may vary due to holidays, scheduled City Hall closures, or other circumstances.
