Human Services and CDBG Funding Application

Fiscal Years 2026 and 2027 Human Services Grant Funding and Fiscal Year 2026 fiscal year Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs 

Starting November 12, the City of Santa Barbara will accept proposals from eligible applicants for the Fiscal Years 2026 and 2027 Human Services Grant Funding and Fiscal Year 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs.

The City of Santa Barbara receives an annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funds are made available to the City to undertake specific eligible projects and programs that develop a viable urban community by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment.

The estimated amount of available funding is $1,600,000.

Human Services and CDBG funds are to be used for programs that principally benefit low to moderate-income persons. Maximum incomes are shown here: Maximum Income for Various Income Categories 2024

In order to submit an application, a representative of each potential applicant organization is required to attend this workshop in its entirety. Attendees of this workshop must be staff that are directly involved in preparing grant submissions. To receive future notifications contact LDrewes@SantaBarbaraCA.gov.

Submitting Applications

Applications are to be submitted online-only using the Participant Portal (powered by Neighborly Software). A separate application is required for each program or project. The City will not accept hardcopy, faxed, or emailed applications or attachments.

Applications with all required attachments must be saved and submitted by:

4:30 p.m. - December 12, 2024
NO EXCEPTIONS

Please be mindful of the time, as the system will not allow you to save or submit your application after the deadline. Any submittal found to be incomplete in any way will be considered invalid.

Please be advised that improperly completed applications could affect your funding request. Your application must be 100% complete by 4:30 p.m. on December 12 to be considered for funding.
