
Plan Check Responses Must Be Submitted via DigEplan Starting July 7, 2025
To streamline the building plan review process, the City of Santa Barbara will require applicants to provide digital correction responses through our electronic plan review system, DigEplan, beginning July 7, 2025.
This change allows correction responses to be directly linked to individual reviewer comments, helping to:
- Accelerate review times
- Minimize miscommunication
- Improve accuracy and efficiency for both applicants and City staff
By moving to a fully digital system, we’re strengthening coordination and enabling applicants to move through the permitting process faster. Written correction response documents will no longer be accepted as a complete submittal after June 23, 2025.
