The City of Santa Barbara is excited to announce the launch of a new online Building Permit Dashboard, now live and available to the public at the Building Permit Dashboard page.

This user-friendly dashboard provides real-time data on building permit applications, including how many have been received and issued. For the first time, users can view average review timelines for both residential and commercial applications, offering a look into building permit plan review process.

A key feature of the dashboard is the ability to track the total time of review for any building permit—showing both the City's review period and time spent with the applicant. This insight helps applicants better understand the full permitting process from start to finish.
