Please note, as with most city administrative offices, Community Development and all 630 Garden Street Public Counters will be closed for the winter holidays from Friday, December 20, 2024 through Friday January 3, 2025.  Offices will reopen on Monday, January 6, 2025.

What We Do

• We develop public policies that reflect the community’s vision, manages the City’s growth within existing resources, and enhances our unique quality of life.
   
• We manage the process of land use entitlement and environmental review, including stakeholder involvement, through all stages of development.
   
• We assist the community in preserving and protecting the City’s natural beauty, character, heritage, and established architectural traditions.
   
• We provide information on land use and zoning to the public and ensure that development complies with those regulations.
