Single Family Design Board Process Improvements
To streamline and simplify the design review process for single-family homes, the City is proposing amendments to the Single Family Design Board (SFDB) ordinance and design guidelines. This project is in response to the 2020 Novak Report, which recommended significant changes to the City's SFDB program. The project's goals include reducing the number of project types subject to SFDB review, expanding administrative approvals of minor projects, and simplifying the application process.
The proposed changes to the SFDB program are summarized in the Planning Commission Staff Report dated March 21, 2024.
Draft ordinance and guideline updates coming soon.
